How Long Does Botox Cosmetic Last?

Botox Cosmetic Injections are the most popular injectable procedure for treating fine lines and wrinkles. On average patients who receive these injections see results from 3-4 months. Depending on the patient, some people get Botox anywhere from 1 to 4 times per year. In this article, we will cover when to get Botox Cosmetic injections before an event, how often to get Botox Cosmetic, and other information about Botox. When Should You Get Botox Injections Before An Event?

Botox results are not immediate. While most dermal fillers give you your full results very quickly, Botox results start to appear 1-3 days after the treatment, and most people see their full results about a week after their treatment. For that reason, we would recommend that if you are planning to get Botox Cosmetic injections before a specific event or special occasion, you schedule you appointment 1-2 weeks before your event.

How Often Do You Need To Get Botox Cosmetic Injections?

Different clients approach their Botox Cosmetic treatments in different ways. For example some people only get Botox Cosmetic when they feel they need it, often before an event. Some people get Botox Cosmetic once they realize they notice the results have faded. Depending on the patient you might get Botox anywhere from 1 to 4 times per year. Since Botox Cosmetic results last 3-4 months, patients who want to maintain their results might get Botox Cosmetic injections 3-4 times per year. However, many patients are happy to get the tratment once per year or every six months.

Can Botox Injection Results Be Reversed?

Unfortunately no, neuromodulators like Botox Cosmetic, DAXXIFY, and Dysport cannot be reversed. But luckily the results are not permanent. So if a patient doesn’t like the results they receive, they at least know that their Botox results will completely wear off over time. Fillers, on the other hand, can actually be reversed. A separate injection can break down the filler which can undo the effects of the filler for lips, chekks, or other areas around the face.
